Danxomē

DANXOMĒ is an interactive web platform designed to gamify the discovery of Benin's political and institutional history. Moving far beyond the traditional quiz format, I conceived this project as a true cinematic browser-based adventure. The goal was to fuse historical rigor with a minimalist, deeply immersive visual narrative that invites users to engage with their heritage.
In leading this project, my ambition was to push the boundaries of classic web interaction. I designed every step of the user experience so that the technology recedes to make room for pure emotion. My core contributions focused on:
- Narrative immersion: Conception of a striking visual identity paired with an evolving soundscape. I orchestrated the integration of ambient layers and tactile sound effects (percussion, paper textures) to capture attention and immediately immerse the player in the project's historical atmosphere.
- Visual experience: Directing the interactive staging to transform learning into a captivating narrative journey. I designed a cinematic opening sequence paced with striking graphical effects (animated textures, lighting play, and interactive visual elements that react to user movements) to carefully curate every emotional transition.
- Cinematic introduction sequence: Implementation of a fluid image transition engine, designed as a true opening film. Through elegant crossfades and continuous zoom effects, the historical context unfolds naturally before the player's eyes even before the first questions begin.
- Fluid interactivity: Design of a reactive depth and movement system to bring the environments to life. On desktop, the interface reacts to mouse movements by leaving a dynamic visual trail. On mobile, the experience adapts by leveraging the device's motion sensors so that the graphical universe naturally follows the tilt of the screen.
DANXOMĒ proves that an educational app can adopt the standards of cutting-edge digital productions. It is a showcase of front-end engineering where brand design and 3D converge to deliver a memorable user experience across all devices.
